From Principal's Desk

The importance of education in the life of an individual cannot be overstated. It shapes individuals in their formative years and imbibes them with values that would govern all their choices in life. But, imparting education entails tremendous responsibility. It does not mean merely providing answers to the questions asked by the students. It means equipping the students with means to find the answers for himself and within himself. It encompasses preparing the students to face the challenges of life squarely and come out as winners. Education empowers students to discover themselves – who they are as people. It is the duty of educators to help them discover their latent talents. This is the challenge which we are faced with as educators. To this end our effort in the School is focused not only on pure study, but also on providing opportunity to each child to explore his or her own capabilities and area of interest. For this, we provide each child with many activities both co-curricular and extra curricular to help the child become the best person he or she can be.

The moral aim of education is to ingrain moral values in children. Herbert Spencer says that education should assist us in curbing our inferior whims and supplant them with superior ideas. Bhagwan Devatma – the founder of Dev Samaj was of firm belief that education should serve as key to the character building and defined the motto of education in Dev Samaj educational institutions as “gain knowledge and form character”.

School years are crucial for the development of good habits and character, which are the building blocks of excellence. The habit of study, the love of learning and the quest for truth, the responsible use of freedom, personal integrity and a willingness to help improve society, are especially important. These tools are essential to empower the student to become an excellent professional and a mature and responsible citizen. It is well known that the critical developmental period for these qualities is the time spent in the school. We constantly endeavour to make the stay of our students more and more rewarding and meaningful.

The School has the wherewithal to provide quality education to its students. The infrastructure in terms of classrooms, laboratories and play grounds is of very high quality. We have a well qualified faculty, totally dedicated to the all round growth of the students. I assure the students that their stay in the school will be enjoyable, memorable and highly satisfying. To achieve full benefits from the school they need to co-operate with school authorities, participate in various activities and maintain discipline.
